…a clinical and holistic nutritionist dedicated to helping individuals use food, soil and self-awareness as medicine so that they can heal from the root cause. I’d love the privilege of supporting you in igniting the natural healing process of your mind, body, and spirit so that you can feel whole and thrive as you were always intended to.
Since 2005, my passion has been helping people live optimally, with a focus on the role nutrition plays in overall wellbeing. In the last five years I’ve truly understood how childhood trauma, limiting beliefs, unhealthy mental emotional patterning and societal conditioning can be a primary root cause for myriad of health issues (because safety starts in the nervous system) and am grateful to have been on that path myself so that I can now support others on theirs.
I founded and ran The Whole Journey for 18 years which started as a private practice working with over 1000 clients, then evolved into a digital online program and supplement company for the last decade, serving over 16,000 customers to heal their gut microbiome and rejuvenate their immune system, overcome systemic candida, mold, and metals, replenish their thyroid and recode their adrenals and nervous system while creating emotional mastery.
I’m the author of The Whole Journey Food as Medicine Cookbook & Healthy Life Handbook, co-author of The Anti-Inflammatory Diet with Cheryl Tiegs, and co-author of the best-seller How to Conceive Naturally and Have a Healthy Pregnancy After 30. I also hosted three health and wellness TV shows for six years.
Being a (delighted) single mother of a five-year old boy and experiencing all the changes in the world these last few years, my calling shifted.
In March of 2023 I announced the sunset of The Whole Journey so that I could spend more time with my family, and evolve my work to reflect who I am now and the new mission(s) I’ve been given in soil rejuvenation, self-awareness, intuitive nutrition and the idea of true sovereignty.
You can still learn a TON from my years of science-backed food as medicine content designed to inspire you to sky-rocket your health and improve almost any health issue, but… there will be no food as medicine in 20-30 years if we don’t focus on the soil and stop the toxins going into it, as well as into our water and air.
So now I’m committed to using my media skills to educate the public on the utterly toxic effects of glyphosate (Round Up) and other pesticides/herbicides and have partnered with several non-profits to urge local City Council to ban it both publicly and privately nationwide while learning methods to create super soil and out-of-this-world nutrient-dense food available to all regardless of income level.
Being a truly healthy person today is expensive and prohibits many from eating and living clean and that is unacceptable to me and I hope to make a dent in it in my lifetime because that feels like a good use of life force and legacy to leave for our children, plants, and animals. You can follow my soil adventures here.
I believe that many people suffer needlessly because of a broken healthcare system that places too much emphasis on symptoms, rather than the root cause of an illness. It's been my experience that by viewing the body as a whole, integrated system, where every organ and gland work in concert with each other, anyone can help their body heal itself more effectively – especially when supported by a well-trained clinician.
Every individual is different, with unique dietary needs based upon their genetics, lifestyle, age, stress levels, childhood diet, pharmaceutical history, and current state of health. Understanding those differences is a key element of my approach.
While most nutritional practices dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins and restrictive “good and bad” foods, my philosophy is more intuitive as you’ll see when you watch my videos and read my blog posts. I provide easy-to-use tools to address the primary reason most people fail to thrive. Education and empowerment in a way that is flexible and fun, without relying on willpower or self-denial. The result? A healthier life that's achievable, sustainable, and enjoyable.
My work is holistic and accounts for all of you. Not just healthy food, but healthy relationships including with yourself; healthy, appropriate movement for the state of your nervous system, a meaningful spiritual practice that grounds you in faith and trust, an inspiring creative outlet, and an understanding that there are emotional roots to physical illness.
Don’t mask your problems. Address them. If you have a rock in your shoe, is it better to take off your shoe and remove the rock, or take painkillers to mask the discomfort?
By creating a balance between the clinical aspects of health, primary foods, and the foods you eat every day; you’ll experience steady changes in your health and wellbeing that you’ll be able to maintain for life.
I believe in a universal intelligence guiding all things and feel that it is every human’s birthright regardless of socioeconomic status to have access to clean, organic vitamin and mineral rich food as well as to have complete sovereignty over their mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health in order to support their self-actualization which will support the healing of our earth and the ethical treatment of our animals.
It is my divine mission to:
I believe that we are all one: plants, animals, humans and mother earth and when we deeply understand that there is no separation between any of us and take accountability for every thought, act or effort affecting the collective world we live in, then we’ll be able to surrender into that oneness with open hearts and evolved egos, reaching our highest potential together, thereby thriving as a global whole.
If you resonate with what you’ve read here, then I encourage you to join my community of subscribers who are also on a crusade to feel whole and self-actualize. I only email about once or twice a month with new insights or topics I’m passionate to share that I feel will add value to your life.
With love and respect for your journey.
